NEW YORK, NY, February 14, 2025, 10:10 p.m. - CNN's Abby Phillip was conspicuously absent from her "NewsNight" desk on Friday night, and the network isn't talking.

Kaitlan Collins, who leads into Phillip's show, ended her segment without a peep about Phillip's whereabouts. Suspicious much?

This comes just 72 hours after Phillip's fiery showdown with CNN commentator Scott Jennings. On Tuesday’s broadcast, Jennings went off on federal judges who've ruled against former President Donald Trump, calling them "lunatic liberals." Phillip clapped back, rattling off a list of judges appointed by Republican presidents.

“Lunatic liberal judges like a George W. Bush appointee? Like a Ronald Reagan appointee? Like a Donald Trump appointee?” Phillip shot back, leaving Jennings fumbling for words.

Now, Sara Sidner is filling in for Phillip, and still no word on why the star anchor is missing. Has Phillip been benched? Did the showdown get too hot for CNN to handle?

CNN remains tight-lipped, and viewers are left scratching their heads, wondering why their favorite anchor has vanished without a trace.
