Unreleased Michael Jackson Tracks Found in Storage Unit

NEW YORK, December 13, 2024, Noon ET — In a surprising discovery, former California Highway Patrol officer turned stay-at-home dad Gregg Musgrove unearthed a trove of unreleased Michael Jackson tapes in a storage unit in the San Fernando Valley. The storage unit, once belonging to music producer Bryan Loren, contained 12 tracks recorded by Jackson between 1989 and 1991, prior to his "Dangerous" album.
Musgrove, who acquired the unit from an associate in Van Nuys, found the tapes featuring Jackson's music and conversations about the creative process. Notable tracks include "Don't Believe It," referencing media rumors, and "Truth on Youth," a rap duet with LL Cool J.
Despite the excitement, the Jackson Estate declined to purchase the tapes, stating they do not claim ownership but maintaining the copyright on the recordings. As such, the tapes cannot be publicly released. Musgrove plans to auction the collection, potentially attracting high-profile buyers.
