DOGE Days Are Back! Musk Caves to Trump, Vance and Rehires Racist Social Media Poster

NEW YORK, February 7, 2025, 7 p.m. ET - Hold onto your hats, folks, because the political circus just rolled back into town, and this time it's got a tech twist! Marko Elez, a fresh-faced staffer at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), found himself in the social media doghouse after some seriously questionable posts from his past resurfaced. We're talking "I was racist before it was cool" level bad. Yikes!
Elez promptly handed in his resignation, but this is where things get WILD. VP JD Vance, in a move that left many scratching their heads, declared that "stupid social media activity shouldn't ruin a kid's life," conveniently ignoring the fact that Elez was supposed to be a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars.
Enter President Trump, who, after a quick consult with Vance, hopped on the bandwagon, endorsing whatever his VP thought was best. And who could forget Elon Musk, DOGE's head honcho and X overlord, who ran a quick poll on his platform. The result? An overwhelming "bring him back!"
So, like a phoenix rising from the ashes of internet outrage, Elez is back in the DOGE house! Musk, ever the philosopher, declared "To err is human, to forgive divine." But some are wondering if forgiving racism is quite so divine, especially when the "kid" in question had access to sensitive government systems. Stay tuned, folks, because this is one story that's far from over!
