Founded in 2006, Independent Thinkers is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt think tank, educational and advocacy group founded to foment sweeping nonpartisan philosophical thought. The organization is dedicated to conducting research and rewarding its members with scholarships, internships, jobs, publishing, broadcasting and networking opportunities that advance critical nonpartisan independent thought.

The Founder of Independent Thinkers

Independent Thinkers was founded by social entrepreneur Rob Redding. Redding is author of a critically acclaimed book, "Hired Hatred: Why Politicians, political parties and the political prejudices they tout are mutually exclusive from good government." He is also an independent journalist and media proprietor, responsible for paradigm breaking sites BlackTalkers.com, the only Web site dedicated to the black talk media industry; Redding News Review, an independent  nationally syndicated radio show and comprehensive black news Web site of the same name, and SmearPainting.com, a Web site where his groundbreaking abstract art can be found.
