New gallery opens in Chelsea

NEW YORK, Feb. 20, 2017, 10:30 a.m. - One of the best new spaces for art in Chelsea is the Soho Arts Club.

Co-founder Golan Marom is a real estate developer and art enthusiast who works with many mid-career artist.

The gallery is currently featuring street and studio artist Retna's "Aaliyah." The work is colorful, daring and imposing mixed media creation.

There are is Sean Stockton "Lil'D", a sculpture of boy peeing, and insightful recreation of Andy Warhol's working space.

Equally as controversial, are the works of John Bradford, whose has a thought provoking exhibit at the Bowery Gallery. The show is entitled "Over Again After All."

Bradford paints Eurocentric-style works. Some of these appear to feature minorities in historic provocative positions.

His works which depicting the pilgrims, slaves and a multi-racial Adam and Eve are the most thought provoking.
