Redding to hold 'Black on White' solo show in NYC

NEW YORK, Nov. 3, 2016, 3:40 p.m. - Few talk show fans may know that Rob Redding is quickly becoming known all over the art world for his Smear Paintings and is continuing his growing career by now having his first solo show in New York City this November.

The provocative author of seven consecutive bestselling books, editor & publisher of and host of "Redding News Review Unrestricted" has shown his work from Europe to Washington, D.C. and now will hold his first solo show at New York's Ouchi Gallery in Brooklyn Heights. The show, which features as many as 25 of the 40 year olds trademark Smear Paintings, will be entitled "Black on White." The show opens Nov. 15 and runs through Nov. 20th. The opening reception is Tuesday Nov. 15 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

"Really excited about all the shows," Redding said. "I have put everything I have into the "Black on White" gallery solo show ever since January and now I am ready to share it with the world."

Meanwhile, he is simultaneously opening shows at Silver Spurs in SoHo. He also has work since late July at Savoy in Brooklyn.

Redding has worked through the media for two decades and continues to do so with his talk show "Redding News Review Unrestricted" heard via his website in 24 states and two countries. His seventh bestselling book "Why Black Lives Matter: Borigination explains how to get police and whites to treat blacks like people" is out now. He also is a professor at two universities in NYC.
