Cosmina breaths life into canvas

By Robert "Rob" Redding Jr.

NEW YORK, Sept 19, 2016, 9 a.m. - The Max Laniado Gallery has one of the most forward-looking displays of art in Chelsea this month.

The group show is lead by the commercial and cutting edge French artist Cosmina.

The show also features the work of others including her American brother Nicolae Ene, whose intricate exercise in painting stresses breaking free from false boundaries, and the work of Chhour Kaloon, an artist living in France, whose triptych seeks to elevate influences like Turner, Monet and his Chinese roots.

Still, Cosmina, who now works out of her Long Island studio, paintings dominate the show. Experts have called her "Atmospheric Abstraction" paintings unique.
