- Philadelphia will now be able to
hear
Rob Redding's "Redding
News Review" more days a week on community talker
900 WURD-AM.
"We are excited about expanding the opportunity to
bring the Rob Redding Show to our listening audience as part of our
new WURD after Dark lineup," said WURD Programmer Barbara Grant. "His national perspective and provocative opinions will keep us
connected to big issues, particularly as we head into the historic
re-election bid of President Obama. Listeners will be able to hear
Rob Monday though Thursday as well as Sunday evenings to add spice
to their late night program options in Philadelphia."
"WURD is a top community radio station, owned by
a top family in a top 10 market," Redding said. "We are looking
forward to continuing to provide top content to WURD, and I thank
Programmer Barbra Grant and President Sara Lomax-Reese for this
amazing opportunity."
The radio station is scheduled to start running
Redding's show next Monday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The station already runs his show from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Sunday
nights.
WURD becomes the sixth weekday affiliate, behind
stations in Atlanta, Cleveland, Raleigh, NC, Myrtle Beach, SC and
Natchitoches, LA.
What is more, WAOK-AM in Atlanta today begins
running the Redding's show at an earlier time, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.,
and Heritage talker KNOC-AM, in Natchitoches, LA., next week will also move
the show up to an air time of 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. CT.
