Joe Madison to receive 'Freedom of Speech Award'

April 11, 2008, 12:40 a.m. - XM 169 The Power and WOL-AM morning talk radio show host Joe Madison will be receiving Talkers magazine's coveted "Freedom of Speech Award."

Madison, a longtime Washington, D.C.-based activist, has already been named to the trade magazine's top 20 radio personalities among the "100 Most Important Talk Radio Show Hosts in America."

Previous "Freedom of Speech Award" winners are: Michael Savage (2007), Howard Stern (2006), Al Franken (2005), Rush Limbaugh (2004), Hannity & Colmes (2003), Norm Pattiz (2002), Bill O' Reilly (2001) and Brian Lamb (2000). 

The award will be presented to Madison at the magazine's upcoming "New Media Seminar" held in New York this June.
