Redding to participate in Augusta's independent conference
WASHINGTON, April 14, 2006, 5:00 p.m. - Robert "Rob" Redding Jr., publisher and host of Redding News Review, in June will speak at the first-ever Southern Regional Independent Movement Conference in Augusta.
The conference will be held in the Garden City from June 16th to June 17th at the Holiday Inn on 2155 Gordon Highway in Augusta, Ga. The conference theme is "I’m FREE to Think for Myself.”
“People who consider themselves independent thinkers, independents or those who believe that voters should have a choice at the polls will be coming from all over the southeast to attend this event,” conference host Helen Blocker-Adams, who is also an Independent candidate for Georgia State Representative House Seat District 120.
"Thirty-five percent of registered voters consider themselves independent. That is a bloc of voters that can no longer be
overlooked,” she added.

Al Bartell, Independent candidate for
lt. governor of Georgia and co-founder of

John Dashler, Independent candidate
for governor of Georgia, Independent movement advocate Sterling Passmore of North Carolina and
Murray Dabby, President of Georgia Independent Voters.

Conference topics include: “Why Am I an Independent?” The Impact of the Media on Public Policy” and “Public Policy 101.” “This
conference isn’t about partisan or non-partisan politics. It’s about educating and empowering the voters with information and
knowledge to make them better informed and prepared when they go to the polls,” explained Blocker-Adams. We also want to encourage more
people to get involved in public policy.
