Redding News Review Hits Traffic Milestone
WASHINGTON, Sept. 28, 2006, Noon - ReddingNewsReview.com this month passed its all-time yearly record in readers.
The leading black news Web portal has already had 365,057 unique visitors this year - compared to its high of 361,019 visitors at the end of 2004 - and is on pace to serve as many as half a million readers by the end of this year. (View our year-to-year traffic).
"This is a major move in the right direction but our numbers are still a disappointment, considering that we are headed into our sixth year," said Publisher and RCI CEO Robert "Rob" Redding Jr.
Redding said the site - which has consistently ranked in the top 10 black news above rival sites The Black World Today, Global Black News and Neo Black and just below AOL Black Voices, without having to focus on entertainment or spending massive amounts of money on marketing - should be doing about four times the traffic.
"What we need readers to do is to refer the site to friends and family to continue our steady growth," he said. "Because right now we have a very loyal readership base, but they are not sharing the resource that they have found with others."
