WASHINGTON -
Nationally syndicated radio talk show host and Editor & Publisher of ReddingNewsReview.com Robert "Rob" Redding Jr. - former award winning Independent afternoon talk show host at Atlanta's WAOK-AM - will be the featured artist throughout the month of February at Breanau University's Atlanta Campus. It is a little known fact that Redding, a native Atlantan and current Washington, D.C. resident, has been showing and selling his abstract artwork in professional settings since age 12 - his last public showing was in the District's Gallery 2000, almost half a decade ago. In this rare showing - the first time Redding has exhibited in Atlanta since 1992 - art enthusiast and fans of the show may enjoy Redding's new "BLACK" series -  seven "Smear" paintings, a vexing mix of colors and psychedelic backgrounds using Jackson Pollock’s old pouring technique. The show also features seven smaller 'Smear' works.

Artist's Statement...
Robert "Rob" Redding Jr.'s thought's about his new style: "Like life, Smear Painting blends two or more worlds together. No matter how perfect we try to be, no matter how perfect we want others to be, no matter what type of utopia we try to create on earth the fact is our world - just like colors on a canvas - will always collide in good and sometimes imperfect ways. No other form demonstrates that collision like Smear Painting." Click here to view more art!
