NYC's favorite Sunday talk show OPEN LINE is losing a member of the show, James Mtume, and gets new time slot with fewer hours - A listener alerted us to the staffing change and time: "...they announced that the heretofore the two hour show that aired from 10 a.m. to Noon on Sunday for decades, will have a change in time starting next Sunday airing from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. I am sitting here simply flabbergasted" ...We are awaiting a call back from Program Director Skip Dillard.

Listeners starting to say SXM 128 Power changes are racist - Mike Sanders writes: "They and we know who they are don't like the word power because it gives it's listeners the power and the truth about issues facing black people in America." Christopher Sullins writes: "Is there another avenue we can use to listen to black talk radio? Who is the new CEO.? It's probably a white conservative."

Sirius XM 128 The Power, a black talk channel, hit over name change - One listener, Bryian Revoner, writes: "The Urban View sounds like a joke! I can tell in Joe Madison's voice it disgust him saying it!" Another listener, Trevon Arrington, writes: "The word urban is just a shifty, disingenuous way for White people to say Black, like having Black characteristics."

BREAKING: WARREN BALLENTINE CANCELED - Ballentine posted this on his facebook page: "To all the truthfighters thank you I TRIED. Reach Media/ radio one just canceled my show. I was accused not found guilty of anything and they do this don't care about my kid me or the listeners. Well I guess I'm finding out who really is with me now I guess I will be homeless soon."

Warren Ballentine indicted for mortgage fraud - A Chicago area lawyer and national talk show host was indicted in mortgage fraud schemes that defrauded lenders of $9.7 million, the Justice Department said. Warren Ballentine allegedly plotted with others to get more than two dozen fraudulent mortgage loans and represented buyers at closings knowing that they weren't qualified for home mortgages in Chicago and its southern suburbs, the U.S. Justice Department said Monday in a release. Ballentine, 41, was charged with two counts of bank fraud, two counts of making false statements to lenders, and one count each of mail fraud and wire fraud in a six-count indictment returned Thursday by a federal grand jury, the Justice Department said. The indictment also seeks forfeiture of about $9.7 million in alleged fraud proceeds.Ballentine, host of the syndicated radio urban talk show "The Warren Ballentine Show," will be arraigned next week in Chicago.

"George suffered a stroke due to an irregular heartbeat, medically identified as atrial fibrillation.  He urges all listeners and their families to have your hearts checked as this is a fairly common heart problem affecting more than 3 million people in the US.  GW is recovering well, but will not be back on the air for several months.  He asks that you continue to keep him in your prayers.
 
"Many of you have asked for an address to send cards and letters to GW.  You may send all correspondence to PO Box 1765, Washington, DC 20013.  Again GW and his Family thank you all and wish you a Happy New Year." 
 

Sirius XM host George Wilson is off the air due to illness - Here is the following statement released by his family:

GW of 'GW on the Hill' will be off the air for a while due to an illness.  GW and his Family ask that you keep GW in your prayers.  We are confident of a full recovery.
